"The Chinese have a saying that “A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” The 2011 Hampton Roads Gala is the first step of a great journey that will positively impact our community and generations to come. We believe this step will be the single, most powerful event this year that will capture and display the very essence of our region.

Local business owner comments about the Hampton Roads Gala.

"I have lived in Hampton Roads for the past 18 years and have never seen an event that celebrates our region. I am delighted to be a part of the committee and to join in this celebration of youth, community, non-profit organizations, military, small to large businesses, and global commerce. By building relationships within the community we will be a stronger community.

This is one event you won’t want to miss, and it’s going to be a red carpet, elegant, VIP event where surprises are in store for you all evening."
